Causly does two jobs for a league, a club, a team, or a tournament.

The first is free and needs no card: volunteer sign-up sheets. Post the snack-bar shifts, scorekeeping, field setup or gate duty, and share one link. A parent opens the page, takes a slot, and leaves a name, email and mobile number — no account, nothing to install. Each sign-up gets an email confirmation with a cancel link, up to a daily limit. You get a coordinator hub with live counts, the full roster, a CSV export and a print-out for the table at the gate.

The second is the paid plan: text alerts and reminders, sent as real text messages, so a parent in the car does not need an app open.

The moments that make or break a season

Sheets every weekend. Snack bar, scorekeeping, field setup, the banquet, tournament gate duty. Unlimited sheets, unlimited slots.
A slot can have its own text list. A sign-up on a slot joins that slot's list, so Saturday's crew and Sunday's crew stay separate.
Field and practice changes. Rainout, time swap, new location — write it and send it.
Carpool and ride coordination. Need two more cars to the away game? Send it to one list instead of a 40-message thread.
Registration and tryouts. Open enrollment, deposit deadlines, the early-bird cutoff. Send the link and a reminder the day before it closes.
Tournament logistics. Bracket updates, gate times, parking notes.

How joining a text list works

A parent texts a word like JOIN to the Causly number, and we text back once asking them to reply YES. That reply is what subscribes them — no app, no sign-up form. A number that signs up on a sheet works the same way: it gets that one text and nothing else until it replies, so a mistyped digit gets that single message and nothing after it: it sits pending on your roster and no announcement is sent to it. Run a keyword per team, per age group, or per tournament. Any message can be stopped with a reply, and a stop is not limited to one keyword or even to one organization: we record it against every entry that number has anywhere on Causly.

Run registration and fundraisers straight from a text

Collect registration fees, sell tournament passes, or run a team fundraiser right from the message. The money goes directly to your league's own Stripe account — Causly doesn't take a cut of what you bring in. Every link is shortened and click-tracked, so your team treasurer can see how many taps each link got, and the payment ledger records every registration and payment by name.
